I put a warmed up 383 in my 70 Road Runner. Putting out about 400 HP @ the flywheel. I replaced the flywheel with a new Billet steel unit. The clutch disc and pressure plate were installed new back in 2006, 10.95 dia. stock... I reused this clutch set up but now I am getting slippage during gear changes. I am looking for a good pressure plate and disc (10.95) that will handle the upgrade without breaking the bank. Ram makes a muscle car kit,30% more clamping power over stock, and a power grip, 80% over stock... Any advice on what will work best.

I have the exact McLeod ceramic borg & beck setup above and even bought it through Brewers. Fantastic setup for my 425ish HP 440. great price also.
very clever dinner. appetizing food fit neatly into interesting round pie.

I use the same organic/ceramic Mcleod disc and their 360951 Borg&Beck/long pressure plate. If I need to step it up I can either get the more aggressive disc with ceramic on both sides or add counterweight to the pressure plate fingers. or both.

I would absolutely stay away from Zoom stuff.
Why? No complaints here.
I had two different Zoom set ups fail on two different cars. Neither one had more than 1000 miles on them. One was at the track with slicks, the other was a street crusier. When the Zoom friction material falls off the disk you can read the "Made in Thailand" stamp on the plate.
Replaced the failed Zoom units, one with a Weber and one with a Centerforce. No problems with the non-Zoom stuff. Love the feel of the Centerforce....
