I'll say more like 420-430 FWHP with tuning. With that compression, i would have went with the .509, I had a 446 like yours & I dropped .5 & gained 5 mph from the .484 too the .509 at 3700 ft. alt. in a 72 duster & that was straight up not even degreed, & too boot the tranny was heading south on that pass, that was the only pass i made. A combo like that likes around 510-530 lift & dur. @50 in the low-mid 240s, the .509s dur. @50 if i'm not misten is .248/.252., I'd install it at 104*.

This is what mine calculated useing "BONE" stock 906s with casting flash & an 530/540 solid cam, 250/256 @50, 9.73 compression, 1.7/8 headers, Weiand TR & 600 holleys. Calculated 10.87 @ 123.58 @ 3200 lbs., that was on a very bad 1.62 60ft. 4400 stall, 4.10 gears. By ET- 443.19 RWHP, 492.44 FWHP By MPH- 435.28 RWHP, 483.65 FWHP Stock iron heads can still run great. http://www.wallaceracing.com/hpcalculatorquarter.php

About 7 give or take in N, Just make sure you have a good adj. ignition, & degree it if possible, i've run them straight up with a good chain set & they ran very strong.

In good tune my guess would be about 425 hp. I ran the .484-284 cam in a 383 Dart and that .484 worked real nice. It was a stock 383 with 452 heads cut for 9.5 comp and some bowl blend porting done. I put the .484 cam on a 104 centerline and used stock rockers. In my sons Dart that weighs 3550 with him in it it ran 12.30's @ 110 using 3.91 gears and the Eddy RPM intake with a 750 DP. Just saying that the .484 worked real nice in that 383 and had a nice little muscle car rump rump in the idle which I liked. Good luck , Ron

Yeah in the 383 the .484 would work nice, but in a 440 the .509 will kick its ass, BTDT
