burdar Owen's Dad Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 7,369 Iowa	It allows for some airflow behind the ECU to keep it cooler. Most people who add the MP electronic ignition just bolt the ECU to the firewall. The factory thought there needed to be some extra cooling so they came up with that bracket. With all the orange box failures I keep reading about, it makes me wonder if having them bolted dirrectly to the firewall is part of the problem.
