A 2-1/16" gauge bracket actualy measured 2.08". This is the reason that I asked the question.

If I make my own bracket, I was after a more precise answer. Since some did not have the actual measurement (including me), I grabbed my calipers once I got home and let the people who were interested know the body measurement.
