I cant remember what size I used when I mounted mine.I measured the gauge and found one that was just a bit smaller than the gauge body so the bezel covered the hole.I did have to use a rat tail file to open it up a bit.The gauge fis nice and snug in the hole.I took an old mounting bracket when I bought the hole saw.Rocky
