Ok, so I installed the cam (474 purplshaft) and new double roller timing chain and gear set and had the bronze bushing pressed in for the distributor (1967 383) now my question is where does the rotor point to #1 at on the stock distributors? Also, my #1 piston is at top dead center, the timing chain is dot to dot right now is this when I drop the distributor gear in and make sure the keyway on the dist will line up and point to #1?

I read on hughes website that this will be 180 out and that I need to do all of this with BOTH dots at 12 o clock, not dot to dot like they are....

someone give me some advice here. First time playin with big block mopars other than building a stroker shortblock but I never put the cam or timing gear in it just put the rotator together for the guy....

Im changing to electronic dist but I know that doesnt matter...thanks in advance, no pun intended.
