It was hot well over 1000 deg easy. no comparison to a stress revealed 500° control environment LOL.
And what makes it worse the fire department shows up and starts to spray cold water on very hot surfaces and any metal it hits will twist like a pretzel or just bust or crack.
It may or may not have been that hot where your stuff was at, you might get lucky, I would imagine it will be wet and look like crap anyways.
Im running a set of pistons from a machine shop the caught on fire. The pistons didnt get damaged other than black corrosion and nicked up some... Just had to clean them up free the wrist pins etc. But they mic'd fine..
