The reason I am asking is because I have one in my 572 that's in my dragster. It was recommended by my engine guy and so far hasn't had a problem, except the fitment of the balancer being loose, and too short of a bolt being used. That is fixed now, but some guy that was looking at buying it said that his engine guy told him to stay away from eagle crankshafts as they break at the front hub. He also said to stay away from Ross pistons, but I can't even fathom that remark. The only crankshafts, besides cast, that I have seen break like that at the snout, were used in high horsepower applications and in both cases they were Callies, BBChevys, and they were totally flogged on. In other words started up and revved high cold, 38-40* timing, and 1100 plus HP. I just wanted to know if I should pull this motor apart and change the crank. It only has 94 passes and seems like alot of work, but thought I'd ask the experts.
