There is something to be said for that. How many passes in those 5-1/2 years?

For a race engine, I would consider a tear down this winter if you have a bunch of passes on it. Sometimes preventive maintenance is better than a broken crank, rods, pistons, block, etc. A set of bearings and gaskets is good insurance.

Don`t totally keep track but probably 300+ and it`s a street car that I race once in a while. I do want to freshen it up this year and port the heads a bit more and let er rip unless I find issues. Good advice...............
