The oil pump is the same. The truck pan is a rear sump. You may be able to mount the 3.9 far enough forward to only need a notch in the back of the pan to clear the centerlink.

have pondered this swap for my 65 Cuda. If you mount the 3.9 as far forward as you can that opens up more real estate under the floor pan for the 4sp auto most of them are hooked to. Early A's require severe butchery to put a 4sp auto into one. Moving the V6 forwar as much as possible will not only give you more distributor to firewall clearance (62 A will need that) but it will remove most of the trans to tunnel interference issues.
