I'm rebuilding AVS that came from a 71 C-body BB. Its going on my '74 318, stock except a 340 like cam (haven't picked it yet) and dual exhaust. I was just going to simply rebuild it but when I was taking the jets out, I boogered one up ('cuz I didn't used the proper sized screwdriver My question(s) is(are) when you install bigger jets, do you also replace the metering rods? Do they come as a set? What size is stock. I can't find anything on line that tells me. Do I want stock or do I want bigger/smaller?? The car will be a weekend/sometimes daily street driver with and occasional "light to light exposition" IOW Not a race car. Just a fun car! Also, who has them? No one seems to supply old carter carb stuff in Omaha anymore, and most of the kids that work at the parts houses when they were job hunting, seem to have had to choose whether they wanted to ask, "what year did you say that was?" or, "do you want fries with that?" Srry, didn't mean to but thanks for replies.
