i put a Griffin chevy style double 1" row aluminum radiator in my '71. bent up some brackets with rubber sections to help with vibration. i had one of those flexible hoses for years but it was really cutting flow. when i did the rebuild, i bought a couple different hoses with bends in them and used some pipe to connect the 2 rubber sections i cut together and make a perfect hose. wish i could have found a hose molded how i needed it, but couldn't. the problem i ran into, and the reason for fabbing up that lower hose was that the lower radiator outlet points up at a 45 angle instead of straight out.
