Not to hi-jack this thread but is there any HP/TQ differences between the RACE and ECONO heads??
Of the same generation NO... Race & Econo's use same ports/chambers. Only difference is the rocker pedestals in the heads.
As a general rule....anything that has the actual word MOPAR & W2 cast into them would be better head to start with (eliminates the older stuff)
It's hard to make generalizations about W2's because they have been made for 36 years, & there are so many different variations that have been made over the years it gets mind boggling.
Just off top of my head......
47CC closed chamber 55CC closed chamber 60CC open chamber 65CC closed chamber 2 different 70-72CC open chambers
3 basic outside castings (1970's/late '80's/Late 90's) All with differing strengths
18 degree valve angle 15 degree valve angle
at least 4 different intake port designs & 4 different exhaust port designs....
Long valve econo, std. length econo...
Traditional Race W2 rocker gear & now T&D/Jesel rocker setups only....
Several different variations on header bolt patterns... some heads have dual pattern, some are single std, some single race....
They are like race blocks, so many different variations/versions, ask questions before you buy....
