CarCraft did a nice buildup article on a 540-hp / 580-tq 440 a few years back.
Great easy to build (and live with) street stump puller.

This combo uses many of the same basic parts and advice others have already recommended to you in this post.

If it were my build, I definitely would use a solid lifter cam for the increase RPM capability.
You are halfway there with adjustable rocker gear...why not take further advantage of the capabilities of a solid cam also?
Why risk the BS of valve instability and float with a Hydraulic cam.

Comp's MH, FL and SQ lobes are excellent and will live a long and happy life with a mopar .904 lifter.
Something comparable to the XE275HL in a solid would be FL272/FL276 lobes. 243/247 @050
