So could anyone chime in on the pros and cons of the ceramic verses the tool steel lifters. I have an R block that will have a solid in it for my next build and want to start collecting parts. This is a bracket engine (low, low 10's) and what I'm looking for is reliability.

I know that if the ceramic lifter ever bounces on the lobe, the ceramic will shatter! We're doing a nice 440sb mopar right now with schubeck lifters and we're running 200lbs. on the seat and 480lbs. open and only revving it 6500rpm.
It would go more but my point is the tool steel will not shatter. I'd use a roller before I ever use these special FT lifters UNLESS there were rules OR it's going to see alot of street miles. Ofcourse then I'd probably use a hyd roller cam...LOL!
