I made a long set of "jumper" cables. Got some bulk battery cable and heavy duty clamps from the local truck parts place, then put welder quick disconnects on the other end & on the winch.
Kind of a pita, but it allows me to use the trailer/winch with different trucks. The trailer winch is a Ramsey re8000.
