Set up I use too. Other than the winch, I don't mount anything perminently. Run a pair of 10 gauge wires from the tow vehicle battery ( quick disconnect and a 40amp breaker ) back to the trailer tongue ( pendant control ) and then to wing nutted studs on the winch. I just drap the wires over the top of the tow vehicle when it's hooked up. When I'm done using the winch, I just unplug it from the battery and winch studs, roll it up and put it in a box marked winch controls. If you don't use your winch very often ( I drive on and off my trailer if I'm not broke ), it's the way to go.
