Although people do it, that would be the inproper way of installing it then.
  • Power from a fused circuit
  • flip switch to power the circuit (not everyone does this part)
  • momentary switch (normally open in series) to engage line lock.


I don't think I have a current rule book but I believe it states you have to use a momentary switch as well.


Allen Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first. Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.
