You can supposedly install these anywhere and they will work. Even in front of the mufflers like the truck guys. I have a crossover exhaust on my Trans Am and I had an H pipe on my truck and they still drone. Not sure sure if they are properly located but sometimes you don't have to many location choices.
As I said, the is my wife's car and she wanted in quiet and I wanted a cheap guarranted fix.
