the noisy resonance depends on the temperature & pressure of the exhaust gas too (for geeks: actually the speed of sound for that gas condition)
Good post. My charger had it bad when it was running lean. Once I got the fuel mix to where the engine was most happy it was much quieter, but not completely gone. I figure the exhaust was cooler and more dense shifting the natural frequency of the pipes.
