I was 16 yrs old my dad came home from work and said there was a 69 road runner for sale across the street from his work. We went the next day to look at it ( it was in 1974) 383 w/ 4spd all original 29k miles, perfect condition. My dad said we want to test drive it, he told me to drive, I had never driven a stick shift, said I can't drive it. He said if you're going to buy it you need to drive. I learned real quick. I bought for $900 that I saved up from my paper route and fast food job. I of course changed the intake and put headers on it along with several clutches over the next few months. Along with crashing it into a fire hydrant on a rainy night and then finally barrel rolling it off a 90 degree curve. WAY too much car for a 16 yr old kid trying to go as fast as he could..
