I have Fel-Pro 1009 gaskets, and I drop one on the block and to my dismay, the fire ring is over-hanging the factory chamfer by a noticeable amount. These gaskets are supposed to be 4.410" in diameter. Everything I am reading says this is a no-no situation because it will trap combustion pressure under the ring and lift the gasket...

So, what are my options? Cometic MLS 4.500" ? Rubber-coated Copper 4.500"? LS swap? (J/K)

If you think the block is bad check it out on the head. Edelbrock head fit is terrible
