When you see debris damage. Check the converter, cooler, and lines. The rear cooler line feeds directly into the rear lube circuit. Had a a broken converter on my street car a few years ago. Drained the pan and went into the house to grab lunch. Came back out 30 minutes later. Started to remove the rear cooler line. Fluid sprayed out like a broken power wash connection for about 30 seconds. The entire rear of the line was packed solid with aluminum chips from the converter stator. I couldn't believe ther was still pressure a good 45 minutes after the engine was shut off. What a mess to clean up.
