I've noticed how most all the NPK guys run with an exposed trans. I understand between-rounds maintenance/repairs, but that seems iffy. Hot ATF, shrapnel, or whatever - regardless of the specific trans case, it just seems odd to me.
That’s why they stipulate a minimum of SFI 15 clothing for an open trans.
