I have a 440Source crank in my 505 and the bearings fit fine right out of the box. what are the right bearings andy? i have a B engine & have to chamfer both the mains & the rods to fit mine. luckily i've done this a few times now & generally get the right amount of bevel first time, but it still takes time getting it right.
