And the world is a very different place than it was two years ago.

I'm not sure how that translates to them talking about their experience. The world is a different place so they lost their experience and vision somehow? shruggy

Their "vision" of finding cores and building cars for the money they are talking is going to be a little tough when costs have gone way up, a lot of it double, in the last two years, Everything, down to welding consumables, tubing, nuts and bolts, paint, and every single part on the car...when you can get it.

Rust free Dusters and Darts in the northern midwest for 5K? Sign me up for a few of those. Being able to build a good car from nothing, painted and ready for an engine and trans for 50K? And make money doing it? More questions than answers here.

Not questioning experience or ability. Just what corners have been cut to be able to do it. Enough guys here have built cars themselves and know what stuff costs.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
