one thing i can't stress enough, get a GOOD vice that will keep your work clamped TIGHT.
more than one project has been scrapped, as well as has caused broken tooling, because the vice or work piece hold downs became loose.
this is also a safety issue as well.
the more ridged the machine, which also includes the pad the machine sets on, the more precise your machining will be.
a mill is a great addition to any shop. you won't regret spending money on quality tooling for it. up
