Those same guys aren't going to like getting their doors blown clean off by some AWD 1000hp electric Tesla either, and Dodge had to do something about it.
They have done brilliant and amazing things with Hellcats and such. Unthinkable not too long ago. But EVs can be so insanely fast while still so derivable, they have to keep up with the market.
Yes and keep in mind, when Chrysler went bankrupt and layed off hundreds of engineers back in 2007 a bunch of them went to Tesla and made the model S. I fully expect the dodge boys to beat Tesla at their own game, they even have contracts with foxconn (iphone manufacturer) to do all the screens and in-car tech. What they come up with will surprise a lot of people....
