Got me thinking: any type of thin plastic like you mentioned could possibly stop rattling of that trim against glass at higher speeds/winds.
Betcha it was an early "fore thought" by engineers, but eliminated by some "bean counters" at Chrysler.
Have any pics for the inquisitive/skeptics here?
