The way I follow it that was a pretty good option like 10 years ago. Any revenue from 3rd party freight was better than running trucks less than full so they had cheap rates. Eventually word got around, the freight biz picked up and a couple years ago they started running it as a stand alone shipping company. As in: capitol investment in rigs, real estate, bodies and let's try to elbow in to the 3rd party logistics market. Last time I looked they were more expensive than FedEx Freight.
