I got my tank back - now.....Do I run braided line the whole way up to the front?

Are you going to run a good electric pump on the car? If so mount it back as far as possible and try to get the inlet fitting even with the bottom of your sump up wrench I mounted my Maganfuel 275 and 300 electric pumps(I ran one at a time) on the inside of the passenger side rear subframe and ran 1/2 aluminum line up to the front of the K frame so I could mount the fuel regulator in front of the carbs. so it had high pressure up to the regulator and lower pressure to the carbs.(six pack)
