I assume the SS springs have an arch while at rest? If so, I'd concentrate more on replacing/optimizing the leaf spring package and removing/reducing the lower blocks, before spending much time and effort on the snubber solution.
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.
