A couple years ago when I was getting my T/A back together, I was having a terrible time with the fuel lines leaking terribly. I talked to my engine builder, and he laughed and said just put some red grease on the threads before you install and tighten the fuel line fittings. He said that works like a charm. I couldn't imagine something that simple would work. But I tried it, and it worked like a charm, dry as a bone!
