I think you're on the right track. I think it looks way better than other hoods I've seen. The only thing I may have done different would be to remove the center pointed section and left it straight just behind the air inlets, similar to a T/A hood I guess. Kind of a hard thing to test though and not certain it would look any better than it already does.

Overall, you should be really happy with it. Very nice work. Always nice to see something different.

Edit: I think it looks very nice. Please don't take my input as a negative comment. It was just a thought and I hope it didn't come across wrong...
