This is definitely an "it depends" question.

The overall combo would have to be pretty mild for me to lean towards a std port window at 500"........ Or some other "special circumstance", like the owner had to have a 6bbl on a stock type manifold where the mw ports don't really work.

If you're building something in that 500"+ range, and you're trying to "make some power", and you have to buy heads anyway....... I think using std port heads just puts you at a disadvantage right from the start.


I get it, as the cubes go up so do the fuel and air demands and I will go max wedge someday to see the difference over my standard port RPM's.............. thumbs
