Well I don't know about dual points but on this stockish 383 the single points distributor started to break up a little around 4800 rpm - but not too bad. At the track the motor was dead by 5300 rpm. Last night with the Pertronix it pulled smooth and hard to 5500 rpm+ (that's where I shifted). Was at least 0.3 seconds faster with the Pertronix than the stock single points distributor. Maybe just this distributor, but it no work too good.
