Is it possible? I have the 90 degree adapter, not that I think it matters although it may make matters worse. Always just hosed the headers down with carb cleaner when I was done since I have cheap painted headers on right now. But I have a shiny pair of Dougs to go on at some point and would like to know how people have avoided the problem.
