first model year use of color: T = 1963
Black was available prior to 1963?
perhaps when Chrysler went to the 3-digit paint code (1970 model year) their maintained internal documents only went back 7-years to 1963??
the black paint codes are the same in 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964 "Sherwin Williams Color Manuals" that I have - I don't have actual Chrysler Corp. information
TB3 (was never officially "Petty Blue") in '72 it received an advertising/marketing name "basin street blue"/"super blue" - prior to that it was one of the corporate identity colors "Corporate Blue" that existed before 1963 as well
