Yup, second gear and go for it. Worked great in my SS/T also.

National Tour, July '98. The truck was 5 1/2 months old with 500 miles on it. I've beaten lots of cars with it in the novice classes and finished the summer in second place behind a '67 or so XKE after racing it for only the last 1/2 of the summer.
