You have to use lash caps with a Hemi. It saves the valve tips and you need the extra surface area for the rollers. I use the Comp # 619 caps made for .308 valve stems. You have to use locks that are recessed for the caps. Use Comp # 610 locks (10 degree)


It's not and absolute must,but as Mopar Rich says if you want to save your valve tip(5/16)then it is best to run them.We don't normally use them on the Indy Legends(11/32)stem unless we need added clearence or to adjust geometry.Make sure that the retainer,locks and lash caps are compatable there are a few different lengths and depths on the lash caps.
