You have to use lash caps with a Hemi. It saves the valve tips and you need the extra surface area for the rollers. I use the Comp # 619 caps made for .308 valve stems. You have to use locks that are recessed for the caps. Use Comp # 610 locks (10 degree)

The degree of the retainer and the lock must agree. So if you have 7 degree locks and 7 degree retainers you might be okay. But if the locks aren't cut or recessed for the edge of the lash cap you will have problems. It all depends on the locks. So mock one up, and see if the lash cap sits down on the valve tip as it should.
