I'm rebuilding a 46RH out of a 1995 Jeep with a 5.2L motor. I was cleaning the Governor and noticed that the small inner governor weight is mushroomed where it looks like it has been beating against the output shaft of the trans. I had to grind the inner weight to remove it from the outer weight. I haven't ran into anything that seems too out of the ordinary yet. I am going to replace the weights, but I was wondering if anyone has an idea of what would cause this damage. Thanks in advance!
