Bigger isn't always better. For this particular combination maybe the way the heads are set up is the best match, and will work better than the bigger valves/port.
BIGGER is better. This is not a small block it's 440ci It needs a 2.200+ intake valve and 3.3" min cross section. And it don't have that yet....
