All combos want what they want to run well,so changing jetting and trying different timing would be a start. We run a 408 in a duster and have found a good 8" converter(5300) the best choice for us. Best 60ft's have been 1.38 with factory heads and a roller cam 264/272@.050 .640 108lsa in at 103. Your compression could tolerate more duration,but more converter would be needed to match and more gear as well. I really like your car and your combo should fly.Good luck
