IMO if you aren't getting a car judged at the O.E. level and at a major Mopar specific show, it doesn't even qualify when it comes to judging which details are correct or not, and even at that level you will find things that are arguable as being correct or not.

The best way for an owner to make his case as to which way his car was originally detailed is to have pre restoration photos in detail.

As far as adding markings to a car by blindly copying someone else's car or picture in a book goes, what has been posted above is true, while some markings are common and accepted, some others were plant, year, model, date, and option specific, and if added to the wrong car and spotted by a knowledgeable judge, you WILL get deducted for them.
