Thats just a few reasons, My sheild was a KIND of hard to get to fit though

Some seem to be able to get them on easy mine , no bueno

1)use the proper trans cooler.
2)both wil get cruddy/dirty
3)just need a full coverage blanket!
4)you can cut or tuck straps out of the way.
5)i use header wrap.salution is dependent on aplication of vehicle.
6)that is what you get for buying a shield.
