I've used the TF-2 for many street builds. It works very well but if you want the car to upshift at a certain rpm on its own while left in drive, get a governor kit from A&A in addition to the TF-2 kit.

We built a friend's 727 this way and, for him, it's perfect.

I wanted a forward pattern manual valve body for my car. One of the advantages of this was eliminating the kickdown linkage. It works very well also.
