Hey fellas. I have an 89 Ram 50 mini truck with a small block, narrowed 8-3/4" rear, 4-link and 18.5" wide Hoosiers under it. I have a 489 case with a 3:23 open diff sitting here. I want to replace it with either a Suregrip a locker or a spool and 4:10 gears.

The truck will be both street driven and taken to the track quite a bit. So I think a spool might be a bit too much. Then again, maybe not. Many any have experience with a spool or a locker in a street/strip vehicle?

Recommendations?
