ooooooooooh.... I undastand gwasshoppa.... Has any used a rebuild kit on one of these?? I am going to take it apart and check it out just for fun and see what the deal is. It worked just fine up until I had it towed home 2 months ago..... AS far as the filters go, I have a 40 micron? size filter before the pump. I also have larger fram paper filter bofore it goes up to the carbs. When I put the new cell in, I changed the paper filter and there was definately evidence of rust particles inside so the pump had some crap run through it for sure. The pre-pump filter was not a paper element, just more of a screen type so the really fine particles would still make it through.

I think they offer a rebuild kit so should I try it and see what happens or just get a new one??? I will report back with what the guts of the pump looks like.... TBF
