The 2295 will work with a closed chamber E-head. Those slugs sit approx .050 below deck and with a .040 gasket and 84cc chamber you're mid 10's for compression but quench is non existant. A Comp 294S clears the pistons with enough clearance for a street/strip type build (.080 intake & .100 exhaust)

Piston to valve is somewhat limited due to the valve location being different between a stock head vs an RPM casting. If you wanted to run more cam then the pistons would require larger valve reliefs.
